Computer repair win.
My laptop drive (the second hand one from ebay that I thought was awesome)turned out to be broken. The lens wasn’t moving the full length of the disk specifically the last part of the disk, resulting in the moment before the transition between the two layers on a DVD-DL it was freezing up. Solution; fit of rage. Now I have a fully working  DVD drive.

Rooted my Android
last night, and after a fair amount of issues of boot loops and other lovely problems, I finally managed to load a custom ROM. Cyanogenmod is its name. First Opinions, Looks just like what could be achieved with a little bit of a theme change. However, when it comes down to what can be tinkered with, then it gets fun. I’ve already installed a few apps that required root, changed the home...

Every Single Time.
The Beatles: And when I touch you I feel happy inside. It's such a feeling that my love I can't hide, I can't hide, I can't hide.
Led Zeppelin: If the sun refused to shine, I would still be loving you. When mountains crumble to the sea, there will still be you and me. Kind woman, I give you my all, Kind woman, nothing more.
Guns n Roses: She's got a smile it seems to me. Reminds me of childhood memories. Where everything. Was as fresh as the bright blue sky. Now and then when I see her face. She takes me away to that special place.
Nicki Minaj: You a stupid hoe, you a, you a stupid hoe, you a stupid hoe, you a stupid hoe, you a stupid hoe, (yeah) you a, you a stupid hoe, you a stupid hoe, you a, you a stupid hoe (stupid, stupid), you a stupid hoe, you a, you a stupid hoe (stupid, stupid)

NEW PROJECT
I’ll will be installing a laptop into a small pc case to create a media pc to sit under a TV. I have most of the parts (I hope) and hope this will be relatively smooth. The main things I’ll be looking to achieve; Having Windows XP trimmed down to boot in seconds (Completely feasible with some give and take) Starting a media player of choice on start up. Either XBMC or just Windows...

everything-linux: amphetaminemuncher: Nor can you get the bottom bar back where it belongs. Nor can you edit the top bar to look like anything but how it does. All you can do is resize the icons on this goddamn unity bar. Fuck this shit, let’s see if I can successfully down grade. Why not install a different desktop environment? Such as XFCE or LXDE. I’m pretty sure you can do that with a...

It's official
I will be dual booting my laptop with Fedora and Backtrack 5. The reason for Backtrack 5 is purely leisure and some work aspects, fedora is mainly because I’ve found it more stable than Ubuntu during a testing period with Flash and file transfers (Ubuntu would do some random stuff when trying to copy large files to a flash drive). Once both are configured to my liking, there will hopefully...

First night back at Hapkido after missing a few months due to family illness, and it’s fair to say that I’m glad to be back. Being a green belt is pretty cool anyway, but realising that the partner form is semi-free (meaning each attack has to be directed at a part of the body, but how you do it is your choice) is awesome. Launching my partner 4-5 feet in the air with a hip throw...

WOOP
I just updated to Ice Cream Sandwich  on my Nexus S. I would put up a picture, but Ubuntu and my laptop webcam don’t mix apparently… Anyway, here’s the link to the instructions I followed to update :P http://androidbloke.co.uk/2011/12/17/nexus-s-ice-cream-sandwich-released-uk/

Fedora
As I ran out of time yesterday, I just got around to dual booting today. Firstly, Dual booting was stupid easy - all I needed to do was use UnetBootin to put the Fedora ISO on a USB drive, boot the “live cd” and install. No extra work needed. Grub detects Ubuntu and on boot up, shows both OS’s and they load perfectly well. My first impressions of Fedora is EVERYTHING IS...
